Huddersfield Daily Examiner (Huddersfield, England), June 22, 2009

THE re-release of Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller coincides with the film's 50th anniversary and is distinguished by such iconic moments as the beleaguered hero attempting to outrun a plane across a barren field, and a dramatic climax on the faces of Mount Rushmore.

Advertising guru Roger Thornhill (Cary Grant) is the victim of mistaken identity perpetrated by the US Secret Service to protect one of their undercover operatives.

Consequently, the mysterious and menacing Phillip Vandamm (James Mason) targets Roger, and the debonair ladies' man finds himself framed for a crime he did not commit, with seemingly no option but to run for his life.

En route, he hooks up with the beautiful and alluring Eve Kendall (Eva Marie Saint) but her motives are far from clear..

Pursued by Vandamm's henchman (Martin Landau), Roger struggles to make sense of the intricate web of intrigue and deception which now has him in its grasp..
