Thief took out window to break into house

A BURGLAR was chased off after breaking into a Lepton house.
The man took out a small window of the property at Summerfield Grove at 4am on Monday..
He then opened a bigger window and climbed in.
He was spotted by a family member, who ran after him, but the burglar escaped..
He took with him a gold ring, some silver earrings and a large ornament of a dog.
The burglar was described as white, aged 25 to 30, about 5ft 8ins tall and slim, with a shaved head and sideburns.
He was wearing bright orange trousers and a dark T-shirt.
