AT LEAST 50 homes lost their power when a switch was blown at an electrical substation. Huddersfield firefighters were called to the incident at Leeds Road at 7.30pm last night. An oil-filled electric switch had blown at the substation, which sent surrounding homes at Town Terrace into darkness. Firefighters secured the oil leak and there was no damage to the building..
