On track for a fun night; Jazz train
Huddersfield Daily Examiner (Huddersfield, England), May 29, 2009
NEARLY 50 choir members, wives and partners are on track for a night out on the jazz train which is operated by the Penistone Line Partnership and which runs from Huddersfield railway station to Sheffield and back.
Choir member Tony Farrington's wife Elaine has organised the trip on behalf of the choir's Ladies Circle.
The music will be provided by the Train Gang, a five man group of traditional jazz musicians.
Honley-based Summer Wine Brewery is laying on a special traditional ale - their 33rd brew - which they are calling Rail Ale.
"Wives and partners support the choir by attending their concerts and we thought it would be nice to lay on a musical evening when they don't have to provide the entertainment," said Elaine..
