Braille Translator update

Journal of Visual Impairment & Blindness, August, 2008

The Duxbury Braille Translator has recently been updated to facilitate braille math translation. Duxbury Braille Translator version 10.7 is designed to allow users to directly import and translate Microsoft Word files that use equations created with MathType versions 5 and 6. LaTeX import and translation has also been improved.

Duxbury Braille Translator 10.7 also features updated translations for a number of braille codes, including those of the Braille Authority of North America (BANA), Braille Authority of the United Kingdom (BAUK); as well as updated translations for Unified English Braille Code (UEBC) and French braille; and new translations and templates for European Blind Union Pharma and Esperanto. The update is free for users who have purchased a new license or performed a paid update within the last twelve months. For those who have purchased Duxbury in the past three years, a single-user license update to version 10.7 costs $195; for those whose software is more than three years old, the cost is $295. A new single-user license for Duxbury Braille Translator version 10.7 is available for a cost of $595.
