Concise Oxford Companion to Irish Literature, The, January, 2000 by ROBERT WELCH

Ó Corcráin, Brian (d. ?1624), poet and prose writer. A member of a prominent ecclesiastical family also noted for its musicians and scholars, he lived near Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, and was a friend and neighbour of Eochaidh Ó hEódhasa . He based the prose romance Eachtra Mhacaoimh an Iolair ( Adventure of the Boy of the Eagle ) on a summary of a French tale.
