A Reflection 
 
   Look at what I'm made of 
   between that soft brown color in the wrinkled page. 
   The skin color that reflects in the light, 
   and the brown wavy hair he gave me. 
   The one I hide beneath the crimson head of mine. 
   A picture says a thousand words, 
   yet I hear nothing back. 
   Am I deaf? 
   I know I'm not. 
   Why don't you speak to me? 
   Say things that were necessary for 15 years. 
   I'm looking at a stranger, 
   but I'm looking in a mirror. 
   Don't stare at me. 
   I never knew you would resemble me. 
   A photograph of a father I never knew.
