The battling tops have finally gone digital. This game plays out a lot like the Pokemon titles. You jump into the game as a character of your own or one of the guys off the television program. Then, you wander around going from tournament to tournament seeking out titles and, more importantly, new Beyblade parts.
Just like the real toys, the video game offers upgrades in attack rings, bit chips, weight disks, spin gear, bases and launchers. What this game has that the toy Beyblades don't have are the Bit Beast attacks. Bit Beasts can be activated during a battle to give your top that extra little push.
There are several arenas and a four-player battle royal mode.
Look for a new series of cartoon episodes in the fall and Beyblade...
