> AAP Sports News (Australia) 03-01-1999 OLY: Coles owes Australians an explanation says Gosper Australian International Olympic Committee member KEVAN GOSPER says Australians deserve an explanation from his fellow IOC member PHIL COLES over allegations that COLES accepted more than $60,000 in hospitality from Salt Lake City Olympic officials. GOSPER has told the Sydney Morning Herald he was surprised at the extent of the damaging revelations against COLES which emerged from an ethics committee investigating the successful Salt Lake City bid for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
