SOC: Adelaide United in deal with English champions
ADELAIDE, June 17 AAP - Adelaide United Soccer Club will form an alliance with English
giant Manchester United if its gains entry to the National Soccer League (NSL) next season.
The club said today discussions on the arrangement with the English champions were still in
progress with a view to beginning the relationship next year.
The deal would see Adelaide United become Manchester United's exclusive soccer club partner
in Australia, allowing for player exchanges and a merchandising agreement.
It was outlined in Adelaide United's application to take part in the national league which
was due to be considered by Soccer Australia this Saturday.
