AAP Sports News (Australia) 07-13-2001 Crik: Australia unprecedented favourites for Ashes success Australia is being quoted by leading British bookmakers at unprecedented odds of 25-1 on to win the current Ashes cricket Test series against England. A William Hill spokesman says he can't remember odds that short for a side that's not on home territory. Australia won the first match of their five-Test series at Edgbaston last week by an innings and 118 runs. It takes on England in the second Test starting at Lord's on Thursday. Optimistic English fans can, however, bet on a home victory.
