SYDNEY, Jan 31 AAP - Wollongong's Grant Kruger has built a reputation getting his hands dirty battling the national basketball league's best big men.
And the NBL veteran, playing his 14th season, loves nothing more than combating long-term rival Sydney's much vaunted frontline, a task he will again face tomorrow.
The teams had two fiery pre-season clashes last year, with Kruger suspended for one game and fined $1,500 after a scuffle with Kings captain Shane Heal in October.
Heal and Hawks guard Mat Campbell also came to blows in a pre-season game the previous month, with Heal and Wollongong coach Brendan Joyce eventually ejected.
