SALT LAKE CITY, Feb 14 AFP - The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has hinted the ice skating scandal that has engulfed the Winter Games could be resolved as soon as tomorrow.

IOC director general Francois Carrard confirmed that the International Skating Union (ISU) president Ottavio Cinquanta had already reported on the ISU probe into the affair.

"We have had reports from them," Carrard said.

"They are working hard on their investigation. We expect a speedy resolution."

A senior IOC member said the matter needed to be solved before the ice dancing begins tomorrow.
