ROME, Jan 18 Reuters - Relegation strugglers Reggina beat Bologna 1-0 today for only their third Serie A win of the season as they battle to stay in the Italian top flight.
The victory, courtesy of a 15th minute Gianluca Savoldi strike, takes them out of the bottom three on 13 points from 17 games and two clear of Atalanta who have a game in hand.
The only goal came after Savoldi broke clear of his marker and fed David Di Michele whose shot beat Bologna keeper Gianluca Pagliuca and cannoned off the post.
It bounced to the alert Savoldi who pounced on the rebound to give Reggina the lead.
