MANCHESTER, May 27 AFP - Ruud van Nistelrooy does not believe anyone can replace Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager in the forseeable future.

The Dutchman, who topped the scoring charts with 25 goals this season to help Manchester overhaul Arsenal for the English Premier League soccer title, has urged United chief executive Peter Kenyon to give the 61-year-old Ferguson a long-term contract.

United finished without a trophy in 2002 but Ferguson landed his eighth English championship with an unstoppable late surge this year.
