GOLF: Heineken Classic accuses Davis Cup of damaging golf

SYDNEY, Jan 28 AAP - Heineken Classic organisers have accused Tennis Australia of deliberately
damaging golf by refusing to change the playing times for the Davis Cup.
The clash arises because Australia and Sweden's first round Davis Cup tie was moved
forward by the International Tennis Federation due to the Olympics later this year.
Channel Seven was to televise both events on the weekend of February 7 and 8 but despite
negotiations between Tennis Australia and Heineken Classic organisers, SBS will now cover
the golf.
