AAP Sports News (Australia) 08-30-2004 Motor: Wheldon wins third IRL event NAZARETH, Pennsylvania, Aug 29 AFP - Dan Wheldon won his third Indy Racing League event this season in an emotional race, which was the 100th race in IRL history and the last at the Nazareth Speedway. And to complete the day, he defeated team-mates Tony Kanaan and Dario Franchitti, making it the first time in IRL history that one team swept the top three positions. "This is the biggest win of my career as a team owner it's so special," said Michael Andretti, who won the first race at this track as a driver in 1987. "To do it 1-2-3 is awesome.
