> AAP Sports News (Australia) 07-20-2006 GOLF: Big Bets On Woods British bookmaker Ladbrokes says it's facing its biggest payout on golf betting if TIGER WOODS successfully defends his British Oepn title. The Open gets underway at Royal Liverpool later today (3.30pmAEST) and Ladbrokes will have to pay out over $A6 million if favourite WOODS wins. Among the many bets it has taken on WOODS, who is quoted at 6-1, are one of $A123,000 each way, and one of $123,000 to win. A company spokesman says Ladbrokes was stung when WOODS won last year but the betting this year is in a different league.
