Crik: Cricketers banned for drugs
LAHORE, Pakistan, Nov 1 AFP - Pakistan's fast bowling pair Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad
Asif became the fifth and sixth cricketers respectively to be banned for doping today.
Here is a complete list of cricketers banned for failed dope tests:
1996: Ed Giddins of English county Sussex is banned for 18 months after testing positive
for cocaine.
2001: Western Australia's fast bowler Duncan Spencer is suspended for 18 months after
testing positive for nandrolone.
2003: Graeme Rummans, playing for the Australian state Victoria, is banned for one
month and fined after testing positive for the masking agent probenecid.
