AAP Sports News (Australia) 12-11-2006 Mot: A1 GP founder Maktoum bought out by RAB Capital LONDON, Dec 10 Reuters - A1 GP founder Sheikh Maktoum Hasher al-Maktoum has sold his entire majority stake in the motor racing series to London-based investment fund RAB Special Situations, A1 said on Sunday. The fund is run by RAB Capital plc chief executive Philip Richards. The A1 Web site said the deal, for an undisclosed sum, consolidated RAB Capital's position as the largest institutional shareholder in the series. "We believe that A1 GP will fulfil its promise as the exciting World Cup of motorsport where driver skill is all important, as national teams compete for the world championship without the distortion of a different manufacturer for each team,"...
