AAP Sports News (Australia) 01-31-2007 Aths: Mottram to make Madison Square Garden debut By John Salvado MELBOURNE, Jan 31 AAP - All-conquering Craig Mottram faces a race into the unknown when he competes in the iconic Wanamaker Mile at Madison Square Garden for the first time. Mottram proved he had fully recovered from a calf strain when he demolished the field in a 3,000m race in Boston last weekend, slashing five seconds off the Australian record. Mottram holds a host of Australian records and would like to add the national indoor mile to the list at the 100th anniversary edition of the Millrose Games in New York on Saturday (Australian time). That mark is currently held by Mark Fountain, who ran 3 minutes 54.77 seconds in Boston two years ago....
