Their players all have other jobs and they exist in the lower reaches of the English soccer pyramid system. Yet on Wednesday more than 750 people attended a celebratory 150th birthday gala dinner in their honour which followed a service of thanksgiving in Sheffield Cathedral. FIFA president Sepp Blatter was the main guest and the president of Inter Milan, Massimo Moratti, was also among those on a glittering top table which included one of England's best ever footballers, Tom Finney, and World Cup winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks. ...
