AP Sports News (Australia) 07-03-2008 Oly: Beijing anti-doping program will be most comprehensive ever The International Olympic Committee says the drug-testing program at the Beijing Olympics next month will be the most rigourous anti-doping effort in sports history. The IOC plans to conduct 4,500 tests in Beijing, up from 3,600 in Athens four years ago and 90 per cent more than in Sydney in 2000. IOC medical commission chairman ARNE LJUNGQVIST says the quality of tests are better than ever and new testing kits to detect human growth hormone have been sent across the world for national and regional anti-doping teams to take out-of-competition samples.
