> AAP Sports News (Australia) 05-17-2009 Motor: Pedrosa takes pole in French MotoGP Australia's CASEY STONER will start third on the grid at the French MotoGP after Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa grabbed pole for the second successive year. Honda rider PEDROSA timed 1min 33.974sec to edge out compatriot JORGE LORENZO on a Yamaha, and Ducati's STONER. Championship leader VALENTINO ROSSI was fourth fastest, while Australian Suzuki rider CHRIS VERMEULEN was seventh. Spanish veteran SETE GIBERNAU will not race after fracturing his collarbone during Saturday's second session.
