> AAP Sports News (Australia) 06-15-2009 Mot: Sick Stoner settles for third CASEY STONER has finished third in the Catalunya MotoGP behind winner VALENTINO ROSSI, turning the championship lead into a three-way tie. STONER, the 2007 world champion, was eight seconds adrift, and later said he almost gave up due to severe stomach cramps and exhaustion, having had little sleep the night before. The lead changed three times on the final lap as ROSSI battled with Yamaha team-mate JORGE LORENZO. The Italian managed to get past on the final corner and claim his 99th victory in a major race. The three riders are locked on 106 points after six races. Aussie CHRIS VERMEULEN finished 11th in the race on his Suzuki. AFP/AAP RTV gjw/gab ...
