> AAP Sports News (Australia) 06-20-2009 Golf: Scott starts well ADAM SCOTT has made a smooth start to the opening round at the US Open golf in New York. SCOTT, who has been in shocking form lately, is even par after six holes at Bethpage. He is only two strokes behind a four-way tie for the lead that includes American DAVID TOMS, who has completed seven holes. Half the field has now completed the round following yesterday's rain with MICHAEL SIM the best placed AUstralian at one-over 71, two strokes better than GEOFF OGILVY.
