Motor: Tander snares pole for race two in Darwin
Holden's GARTH TANDER has secured pole position for the 69-lap second race at the V8
Supercars event in Darwin.
TANDER clocked a one-minute, 9.793-second lap to be the fastest in the 20-minute all-in
qualifying session.
Ford's CRAIG LOWNDES was second fastest, with MARK WINTERBOTTOM and TODD KELLY to make
up the second row of the grid.
Yesterday's winner JAMIE WHINCUP could only manage a disappointing 13th place, meaning
he'll start the race on the seventh row.
The 200-kilometre race starts at 3.05pm AEST.
