> AAP Sports News (Australia) 06-23-2009 Ten: Groth eases into second round at Wimbledon LONDON, June 22 AAP - Australia's Jarmila Groth has eased into the second round at Wimbledon after defeating the Czech Republic's Lucie Safarova in three sets. Groth won 6-3 3-6 6-3 in 81 minutes on Monday. The Victorian got off to a strong start, breaking the world No.48 in the second game and notching up a 4-1 lead. But Safarova began to hold her serve and broke back to narrow the gap before going on to win the second set as the Australian made a string of unforced errors. Groth and Safarova both held serve at the start of the third until the Australian broke ahead in the fourth game and then went on to wrap up the match with an ace. ...
