Adelaide looked threatening for much of the night but were constantly denied by Velaphi, who pulled off a string of acrobatic saves to keep Perth in the match. Sikora pounced in the 79th minute, firing the ball past Adelaide custodian Eugene Galekovic from the top of the box to secure maximum points in front of 9,482 adoring fans.
