Baseball: Indians shoot for third straight series win.

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians will attempt to record their third consecutive series victory this evening, when they close out their three-game set with the Boston Red Sox as Jacobs Field.

Cleveland posted an 8-7 win over Boston on Saturday and has won five of its last seven games overall. Its way too late for playoff aspirations though, as the Indians are 19 1/2 games behind Minnesota in the Central.

Jim Thome hit his 42nd homer of the season for the Tribe in the win on Saturday. Omar Vizquel added three hits and two RBI, while Ellis Burks and Karim Garcia registered two hits apiece.
