Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics will aim to inch closer to an AL West title this afternoon, when they close out their three-game series with the Texas Rangers at the Coliseum.

Oakland has won four straight to open up a two-game lead over Anaheim in the West race. The A's have already secured a playoff berth and have just a magic number of five to close out the West title.

On Saturday, the A's pushed their current winning streak to four with a 6-3 win over the Rangers. Greg Myers' pinch-hit, RBI single keyed a three-run bottom of the eighth inning for the A's in the win.
