Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Former NBA player Manute Bol didn't get to play in his ice hockey debut on Saturday, as the 7-foot-7 player was benched because his arthritic feet began to swell inside his custom-made skates.

Bol signed a contract with the Indianapolis Ice of the Central Hockey League, but didn't get to play Saturday night at Conseco Fieldhouse as his club faced the Amarillo Gorillas. In fact, it was probably Bol's last appearance with the Ice.

Bol was actually out of his uniform after the first period and was signing autographs before leaving the rink while the game was still in progress.
