Rome, Italy (Sports Network) - Bologna coach Francesco Guidolin on Wednesday moved to end any speculation surrounding his future by signing a new three-year contract.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Guidolin has established the Rossoblu as one of the leading clubs in Serie A outside the traditional powerhouses since replacing Sergio Buso in 1999. Bologna have finished 11th, ninth and then seventh last season in his three campaigns at the Dall'Ara stadium.
"I want to continue my project with Bologna until 2005 and sincerely hope that I can stay even longer," said Guidolin, a former coach of Vicenza Calcio and Udinese Calcio.
