10  rebounds  as the Notre  Dame Fighting  Irish upset the second-ranked Texas 
Longhorns in the finals of the BB&T Classic 98-92 at the MCI Center. 
 
Matt Carroll and Dan Miller each added 20 points, and Chris Thomas contributed 
19, leading Notre Dame (8-1) to consecutive wins over highly-ranked opponents. 
 
The Irish defeated ninth-ranked Maryland 79-67 in Saturday's semifinals.
