Baseball: Red Sox complete trade with Cincinnati for Todd Walker.

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Boston Red Sox completed the trade for second baseman Todd Walker by sending right-handed pitcher Josh Thigpen and third baseman Tony Blanco to Cincinnati. Walker was traded from the Reds on Thursday.

The 20-year-old Thigpen had a 6-6 record with a 3.92 earned run average and two saves over 25 games last season at Class A Augusta. He also started nine games and fanned 87 batters over just 82 2/3 innings.

The 21-year-old Blanco hit .221 with six homers and 32 RBI over 65 contests this season at Class A Sarasota.
