Milan, Italy (Sports Network) - Two teams had a chance on Sunday to climb to the top of the table in Italy--but only one took full advantage of their opportunity.

After Inter's loss on Saturday, both Juventus and Milan had the chance to take the top spot in Serie A. In the batch of early games, Juventus took the lead in the standings after winning for the first time since 1995 at Parma by a 2-1 scoreline.

Milan could have vaulted over Juventus in their late match against fourth place Lazio, but had to overcome a two-goal deficit in the second half to draw 2-2 at the San Siro.
