College Football: Collins resigns at Louisiana-Monroe.

Monroe, LA (Sports Network) - Mike Collins has resigned as the head football coach at the University of Louisiana at Monroe after his arrest for drunken driving.

Collins was arrested and charged with driving drunk on Friday morning after he crashed his truck into a house. There were no injuries, but damage has been estimated at $50,000 to the house.

ULM Director of Athletics Bruce Hanks met with Collins early Friday morning and President James E. Cofer, Sr. accepted Collins' resignation at an afternoon press conference.
