College Football: Wisconsin RB Davis pleads guilty to battery charge.

Madison, WI (Sports Network) - University of Wisconsin sophomore running back Anthony Davis pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge as a result of a fight with his girlfriend last November.

He was placed in a first time offender's program and the prosecution will drop its case if he successfully completes it. If Davis fails to complete the program he could face up to nine months in jail and a $10,000 fine.

Davis, who allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face after the two had an argument, was also stabbed in the leg during the incident. Davis suffered a half-inch puncture to his left thigh.
