Minnesota Wild right winger Marian Gaborik underwent shoulder surgery and is expected to need four-to-six weeks of recovery time.

The procedure was performed Tuesday in order to repair some looseness in Gaborik's right shoulder.

The surgery is the second of the offseason for Gaborik, who also had a hernia removed after his team was swept by Anaheim in the Western Conference finals.

The 21-year-old Gaborik led the Wild in points in the regular season, tallying 30 goals and 35 assists in 81 games. He also had a terrific postseason, notching nine goals and eight assists in 18 games during Minnesota's surprising run to the conference finals.
