College Football: Hokies' RB Jones injures wrists.

Virginia Tech running back Kevin Jones injured his wrists in the second quarter of the Hokies' 43-0 victory over Division I-AA James Madison on Saturday.

Jones was hit early in the second quarter after running toward the sideline near the Dukes' 16-yard line. Demetrius Shambley shoved Jones several yards out of bounds and Jones put his hands up as he slammed into a concrete wall.

"I thought their kid got a little carried away," Tech head coach Frank Beamer said. "I don't think he meant to do what he did. Kevin was way out of bounds. Sometimes you get out there and emotions take over."
