RED WING, MINN. -- A flurry of acquisition activity in 2001 by Active IQ Technologies has brought together four business management software companies that are now positioned for greater strength in both the agriculture and so-called gap market of businesses -- those that have outgrown retail-sold accounting software but are hesitant to buy pricey middle-market applications.
