DAYTON, OHIO -- LexisNexis, the venerable legal and business research company, is retooling its database to help broaden demand among the accounting and tax preparation industries.

Although LexisNexis has been a necessary part of tax research at Big Five firms for a decade and a half; now, it is branching to the small to midsized accounting and tax preparation firms. "We're concerned with medium and small-sized firms, as well as the large firms," said Esther Judson, manager of strategy and planning for tax and accounting.
