G&C NAMES GRANT THORNTON AS AUDITOR: Tax preparation and financial services firm Gilman & Ciocia, of White Plains, N.Y., has named Chicago-based Grant Thornton as its new independent auditor for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2002, succeeding Andersen.
According to an 8-K filing, during the years ended June 30, 2002 and June 30, 2001, and for the interim period through the termination of the auditor pact, there were no disagreements with Andersen on any matter of accounting principle or practice, or financial statement disclosure.
