The Finance and Real Estate Groups at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP acted for Allied Irish Banks plc providing a [pounds sterling]30 million term loan to finance the acquisition by a Jersey Company of 38-48 Southwark Bridge Road and 62-64 Southwark Street London.
The property was part of a Prudential Assurance portfolio and is the London Disaster Recovery space for Schroders and other City financial institutions.
Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP have been acting for Allied Irish Banks for some time on treasury and related matters. This deal represents the third investment property financing on which the practice has been instructed by the Capital Markets team in London.
