ORACLE TO DOUBLE EXPENDITURE ON R&D FACILITIES IN CHINA.

SHENZHEN, March 27 Asia Pulse - Business software producer Oracle is planning to double its expenditure in China by setting up localized research and development centers in a number of major cities over the next decade.

Executive Vice-President of Oracle Corporation Derek Williams told Xinhua on March 26 that developing business software purely for the local market will be at the core of Oracle's strategic planning for its China operations over the next 10 years.

Oracle signed an agreement with the municipal government of Shenzhen on March 25 to set up an R&D center in the south China coastal city of Shenzhen.
