WORLD BANK TEAM VISITS RESETTLEMENT SITES IN MUMBAI
MUMBAI - A team of World Bank officials, led by vice-president of the South Asia Region Mieko Nishimiza, visited sites in Mumbai where displaced persons have been resettled under the US$542 million Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP) scheme.
Nishimiza, who was on a maiden two-day visit to the city, told reporters that through this project the World Bank had entered into a unique relationship with several non-government organisations and the Maharashtra government.
