SAMSUNG, LG MOVE INTO CHINA'S HOME NETWORKING MARKET.

SEOUL, Aug 22 Asia Pulse - Samsung Electronics Co. (SEC) and LG Electronics Co. are moving their competition to China in an attempt to occupy a bigger piece of the home network market with the country's housing construction boom, industry sources said Thursday.
Samsung Electronics is also eyeing Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. It will have its home network business division supply electric home appliances to China. SEC's subsidiary, Seoul Commtech Co., will then install home server and other home network equipment.
The electronics company already set up a built-in model house in Shanghai in May to show how the home network system operated. It is also planning to exhibit Internet-carrying home appliances such as refrigerators with Internet access on the door,...
