SHARES IN AUSTRALIA'S KAZ UP 17 PCT ON FORECAST EARNINGS GROWTH.

SYDNEY, Sept 2 Asia Pulse - Kaz Group Ltd (ASX:KAZ) shares rose over 17 per cent after it predicted strong earnings growth in the current year.

The IT services group today booked a 30 per cent jump in net profit after tax (pre goodwill amortisation) to $A18.9 million ($US10.39 million) - flagged in a profit warning in April.

Net profit after tax slid 12 per cent to $A10.25 million ($US5.63 million), while revenue jumped 81 per cent to $A253.6 million ($US139.35 million) for the year to June 30, 2002.

"The company is targeting revenue growth of approximately 45 per cent in FY03 with EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) growth in the order of 30-40 per cent, and NPAT (net profit after tax) (pre goodwill amortisation)...
