AUSTRALIA'S SKYWEST APPOINTS NEW CEO.

PERTH, Oct 14 Asia Pulse - Regional airline Skywest has appointed former United Airlines executive Scott Henderson to be the company's new chief executive, as the carrier moves closer towards establishing an alliance with Qantas.
Mr Henderson replaces Bill Meeke, who was ousted as a director at a shareholders meeting last week, following a bitter boardroom battle.
Mr Meeke was dumped from the board in July. However, the resolution was again placed before shareholders after he pursued legal action alleging breach of contract.
Mr Henderson, who held senior positions with United in Australia and in group headquarters in Chicago, was selected ahead of some 60 other applicants and will move into the top job on October 23.
