SINGAPORE TECHNOLOGIES ENGINEERING'S US UNIT TO BUILD OSV.

SINGAPORE, Nov 14 Asia Pulse - VT Halter Marine, Inc., the U.S. operations of Singapore Technologies Engineering's (ST Engg) (SGX:STEG) marine arm, Singapore Technologies Marine (ST Marine), has secured a contract worth more than S$18 million (US$10.19 million) to construct an Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV) for an undisclosed owner.

The contract also includes options for six additional vessels which, if exercised, could bring the total contract value to exceed S$120 million, ST Engg said in a statement.

Offshore Supply Vessels carry goods, supplies, individuals (in addition to the crew) or equipment used to support exploration and offshore production of mineral or energy sources.
